Galaxy Science Fiction Nov 1954 — Human Trapped in Alien Organic Machine

A blonde human figure recoils in horror as enormous alien appendages — green, veined, and grotesquely organic — reach toward them through a tear in space itself. The boundary between cold stellar void and writhing bio-mechanical tendrils crackles with electric energy. Strange machinery fuses with living tissue in sickly yellows and greens, while distant planets float indifferently in the darkness beyond. This is a collision between the biological and the technological, and the human caught between them has no good options.
