A skull-faced demon with bat wings and a serpentine green body lunges toward a horrified blonde woman in a flowing red gown — she has stumbled through an ornate doorway into a hellish underworld. Behind the creature, a massive bonfire roars at the top of a staircase swarming with shadowy beast-men and swooping dark birds. Bas-relief panels flanking the portal teem with tortured figures, marking this as no ordinary threshold but the literal Doorway to Hell.
Oh BUDDY — a skull-demon with a snake body guarding the literal gates of Hell while a glamorous woman in a slinky red dress loses her mind? This is peak Ziff-Davis fever-dream insanity and I would hang it in my living room YESTERDAY. The bas-relief panels alone are worth the 20 cents!
